Wow I can’t put into words how this past school year was the best year of my life. This year changed my life in ways that I didn’t imagine when I left in August. I walked into Clemson thinking I had my life together, but obviously I didn’t. I remember having worries and fears about making friends. Well I met the BEST people in the world. Literally I could not have asked for a better roommate and group of friends. Let’s start with my roommate. Trey Trey Trey…I can’t be luckier to have a roommate like him. He has been such a blessing. We didn’t have an awkward stage when we met. I can honestly say he is my best friend in college! The group of friends that I have are so amazing too. Boysen Ellie Hilliary and Hannah “Little one” are all so GREAT! They have some of the warmest hearts on this planet and always cheer me up! My group of guy friends too have been such a blessing. Guys like Devin, John Mark, Taylor, Blake, Brantley, Zach, Brantley, Chase, Davis, Ty, Blane, Brandon, Drew, Seth, Barbee, Corbin and Andy all keep me accountable. They have helped me in ways that don’t even know. I also have made an incredible group of friends with my YoungLife Quest class! These people are incredible and so encouraging. They have also pushed me to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus. As I wrote about a few weeks ago I am now part of Seneca High School YoungLife. My team is the best one imaginable! They are crazy about Jesus! In the first month I learned so much from the upperclassmen. They are so so incredible!! I cant wait for the future! You know I had this distorted view of what college would be like. I pretty much expected college from the movies, but my preconceived beliefs were false. College is one of the most exciting times of your life. College offers you the chance to break from the past and start fresh. You can be who you truly are. I made my decisions no one else did. You can live in freedom. College has been so much fun! Clemson was the place for me! I believe that the Lord places you where He wants you and I can definitely see that it was his hand alone that put me at Clemson. I am so happy to be apart of this school. I learned so much in the classroom and out. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for me in the future. Freshman Year: Complete
